Saudi Crown Prince Inaugurates 8 Housing, Medical Projects for Defense Ministry Employees

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, inaugurated on Sunday eight housing and medical projects for Defense Ministry employees.

The projects, implemented in several Saudi regions, are part of new development projects by the ministry at a cost of over 4 billion riyals.

The six residential projects provide 3,797 residential units, covering the King Saud air base in Hafr al-Batin, the armed forces housing project in the northwestern region, the housing project for the families of the King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Center for Mountain Warfare in Taif, and the armed forces housing project in Sharurah.

They also include the first phase of the housing project for the armed forces in Jazan an dthe second phase of the housing project for armed forces in the Eastern Province.

Crown Prince Mohammed also inaugurated two medical development projects, including the establishment of a heart center at the Armed Forces Hospital in the northwest with a capacity of 130 beds and the expansion of the Prince Sultan Armed Forces Hospital in Madinah, which will increase bed capacity to 100.

The expansion will add 10 intensive care units, operating rooms equipped with the latest medical equipment and emergency, radiology, laboratory and pharmacy departments, as well as a blood bank.

Dr. Khaled al-Biyari, Assistant Minister for Executive Affairs at the Ministry of Defense, hailed Crown Prince Mohammed for inaugurating the projects, saying they are a fulfillment of his pledges as part of his constant keenness on the armed forces.
