Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, welcomed in Mina on Wednesday on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz princes, Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti, religious scholars, Gulf Cooperation Council officials, ministers, military leaders and scouts from the Hajj.
At the reception at Mina palace, Prince Mohammed congratulated citizens, residents and Hajj pilgrims on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
He hailed the efforts exerted by all relevant sectors in organizing the annual pilgrimage, stressing that they are a source of pride and honor.
He vowed that such efforts will continue every year and for all time.
Hajj pilgrims began on Wednesday performing the Tawaf Al-Ifadah (circumambulation) around the holy Kaaba at the Grand Mosque, following the plans and procedures system set in place by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Earlier, King Salman congratulated on Muslims on the occasion of the Eid.
In a tweet, he said: “We derive from the Hajj pilgrimage lessons in solidarity, fraternity and unity where they have united at the Grand Mosque for a sole purpose.”
