Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held talks in New York on Sunday with United Nations envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen.
The officials discussed the latest developments related to the political solution to the crisis in Syria and Saudi Arabia and the UN’s efforts in reaching the desired resolution.
Prince Faisal stressed the Kingdom’s keenness on exerting all possible efforts to reach the political solution that would preserve Syria’s unity, security, stability and Arab identity.
Prince Faisal and Pedersen met on the sidelines of the 78th UN General Assembly.
