South Korea Sets 6-Month Record With 1,212 New Coronavirus Cases

The global death toll from the coronavirus infection has topped 3.99 million and over 184 million cases of the infection have been confirmed, according to Baltimore, Maryland’s Johns Hopkins University, which tracks and compiles data from national and local authorities, the media, and other sources.

The United States, India, and Brazil remain the worst hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. The US has so far registered 33.7 million infected and around 606,000 fatalities from the coronavirus. India has 30.6 million confirmed cases and 403,000 dead, while Brazil has the second-highest death toll of over 526,000 and 18.8 million infected.
