Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi declared on Sunday that Taiwan is not part of the United States, but rather Chinese territory, in the latest diplomatic rebuke of US policy since US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan.

The US has engaged in “sophistry” on the Taiwan issue, while China’s actions on Taiwan have been right, proper, and lawful, as well as geared at protecting the country’s sacred sovereignty and territorial integrity, Wang said during a visit to Bangladesh.
