The gap between US and Iran still wide, says Price

US Secretary of State Spokesman Ned Price announced that the gap in the Vienna talks between Washington and Tehran is still wide.

Price declined to specify whether the talk, now in its fifth day, made any progress, but stressed that Washington will not make any compromises regarding terrorism matters.

Iranian media outlets mentioned that the Vienna talks hit a dead end after the US refused to suspend sanctions it hit some 500 names and entities with.

On the other hand, Tehran announced that it might extend a technical agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding further inspections of Iranian nuclear facilities in case the Vienna talks take the right track.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh announced that they are not in a hurry to conclude these talks, in an attempt to exert more pressure to lift the sanctions.
