The Saudi Foreign Minister visits the Sultanate of Oman to strengthen bilateral cooperation

The Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, left Sultanate after a short visit during which he held talks with the Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, the Oman News Agency reported on Wednesday. According to the official agency, they discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields. The official agency indicated that “the two sides expressed their deep pride in the strong, fraternal historical relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the keenness of their leaders to promote common interests and open new and diverse horizons supportive of trade, investment and tourism opportunities, in addition to developing scientific cooperation, and in the sectors of energy, technology, transportation, cybersecurity and health. And agricultural wealth, fisheries, the environment and other fields. ”

On the diplomatic and political front, the two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues. They also stressed the importance of joint Gulf action within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and following up the results of the Al-Ula summit hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on January 5, 2021.
