U.N. committee decides Taliban, Myanmar junta not allowed into U.N. for now

A United Nations credentials committee postponed a decision on who would represent Afghanistan and Myanmar at the global body on Wednesday, according to Sweden’s U.N. Ambassador Anna Karin Eneström, chair of the committee.

The ruling implies that the Taliban in Afghanistan and Myanmar’s junta will not be able to represent their nations at the United Nations for the time being.
