U.N. General Assembly adopts Ukraine aid resolution, criticizes Russia

On Thursday, the 193-member United Nations General Assembly demanded assistance access and civilian safety in Ukraine, and chastised Russia for creating a “dire” humanitarian crisis after Moscow invaded its neighbor a month ago.

The resolution, written by Ukraine and allies, gained 140 yes votes and 5 no votes (Russia, Syria, North Korea, Eritrea, and Belarus), with 38 nations abstaining.
