The US Treasury will urge on international policymakers this week to take efforts to lessen the impact of Russia’s war in Ukraine on emerging countries, which are suffering significant expenses through higher food and energy prices, according to Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo.

“We must not allow Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to burden nations already dealing with a global epidemic,” Adeyemo said at a virtual event organized by the Washington-based Peterson Institute of International Economics think tank.
