British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs and First Secretary of State, Dominic Raab, affirmed via Twitter that his country “supports the US air strikes on Syria.”

“The United Kingdom supports the US targeted response against Militia Groups attacking coalition bases in an effort to destabilize the region. We recognize the threat posed by the Militia and share the US aim to work together with partners to de-escalate the situation,” he wrote.

Earlier, the Pentagon confirmed that US fighters launched several raids on Iranian-backed groups in eastern Syria in response to the recent attacks against US Personnel in Iraq, and destroyed several facilities at a border control point used by Iranian-backed militant groups.
