On Wednesday, British police said they had arrested two men in the northern English city of Manchester as part of a US investigation into a hostage-taking at a Texas synagogue earlier in January.
British police had earlier stated that four persons had been detained in connection with the incident: two teens in Manchester, one guy in Birmingham, and another male in Manchester. The adolescent boys have been freed without charge.
The day-long siege began on Jan. 15 when a British man kidnapped four people at a synagogue in Colleyville, Texas, roughly 16 miles northeast of Fort Worth. As federal agents stormed the temple, the shooter was killed, and the four hostages were freed unhurt.
