Ukraine president says he had ‘urgent call’ with France’s Macron

Following Russia’s new strikes on Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy claimed he had a “urgent call” with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday.

“I also received a phone call from Emmanuel Macron. We addressed the necessity to bolster our air defense, as well as the need for a strong European and international response, as well as greater pressure on the Russian Federation. France supports Ukraine “Zelenskiy shared his thoughts on Twitter.

Russia struck cities across Ukraine during rush hour on Monday morning, killing civilians and destroying infrastructure in apparent revenge after President Vladimir Putin declared an explosion on the bridge to Crimea to be a terrorist attack.
