Ukraine’s military leadership said on Saturday that “fierce battle” had resumed in Pisky, an eastern settlement over which Russia had previously claimed complete control earlier in the day.
“The occupiers are attempting to breach our forces’ defenses in the direction of Oleksandropol, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Pisky,” Ukraine’s military staff stated in a nightly briefing note posted on Facebook.
