Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy
Following an order by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Ukraine began conscripting reservists aged 18-60 on Wednesday, the armed services said in a statement.
The maximum term of duty is one year.
Zelenskiy declared on Tuesday that he was instituting reservist conscription but ruled out a general mobilization in response to Russia’s announcement that it was dispatching soldiers into eastern Ukraine.
