For the first time since the outbreak of the war between Israel and Hamas, the United Nations Security Council has called for ceasefires and humanitarian corridors in the Gaza Strip.
The resolution, drafted by Malta, was adopted with the support of 12 members, while the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia abstained from voting.
