Pope Francis’ planned visit to Lebanon next month has been postponed for health reasons, Director of the Holy See Press Office Matteo Bruni told the National News Agency on Tuesday.

“The Holy See did not issue any statement about the visit’s postponement, but it told the accredited journalists that the trip will be adjourned for health reasons,” Bruni clarified.

The Pope is known to be suffering acute knee pain.
