In a phone discussion on Sunday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the presidents of the United States, France, and Germany emphasized the necessity of guaranteeing the safety of nuclear plants in Ukraine, according to Johnson’s office.
“On a joint call, the Prime Minister, President (Joe) Biden, President (Emmanuel) Macron, and Chancellor (Olaf) Scholz reaffirmed their unwavering support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s aggression,” a Downing Street official said.
“They stressed the importance of ensuring the safety and security of nuclear installations and welcomed recent discussions on enabling an IAEA mission to the Zaporizhzhia facility.”
