The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that the first cargo of medical aid for Ukraine will arrive in Poland on Thursday.
WHO Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a media briefing in Geneva on Wednesday that six tons of trauma care and emergency surgical supplies will be delivered to cover the requirements of 1,000 patients, as well as other health supplies to fulfill the needs of 150,000 people.
He also emphasized the importance of establishing a humanitarian corridor to guarantee that supplies reach the most vulnerable populations.
