Yemen’s Houthi movement stated on Tuesday that it has launched multiple ballistic missiles and 25 armed drones targeting Saudi Arabian installations, including Aramco in Jeddah and the defense ministry in Riyadh.
Aramco, which has a petroleum products distribution plant in Jeddah that the Houthis have previously targeted, did not reply to a request for comment right away.
According to a spokesperson for the Houthi armed forces, Riyadh airport was also attacked.
The Saudi-led coalition fighting the Houthis in Yemen announced late Monday that a ballistic missile fired from Yemen against the country was intercepted over Riyadh. Residents in Saudi Arabia’s capital reported hearing huge explosions.
