The scheduled World Economic Forum in the Swiss alpine resort of Davos has been canceled owing to an increase in instances of the omicron strain of COVID-19, according to Sky News, citing organizers’ email to attendees.

“The World Economic Forum’s annual summit in Davos, Switzerland, next month’s meeting of global business and political leaders has been put off due to increasing levels of the omicron version of COVID-19, participants were notified today by the organizers,” Sky News city editor mark Kleinman tweeted.
