Safran H1 profit rises but more supply chain snags ahead

Safran (SAF.PA), a French jet engine manufacturer, reported stronger first-half profitability and upgraded some projections as airlines purchased more spare parts to support a rebound in air traffic, but cautioned that supply chain issues might linger until 2023.

The world’s third largest aircraft supplier, whose products span from wheels to wire and commercial engines to satellite thrusters, reported a 59 percent rise in recurring operating profit to 1.047 billion euros ($1.1 billion) on revenue of 8.56 billion euros.
