Australia will deploy 34 extra armored vehicles to Ukraine and will block Russian gold imports, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced on Sunday in Kyiv.

Speaking with President Volodymyr Zelenskiy at a news conference in Ukraine’s capital, Albanese said that Australia will impose sanctions and travel restrictions on 16 additional Russian ministers and oligarchs, increasing the total number of Russian persons sanctioned by Australia to 843.

Albanese stated that Australia would provide 14 additional armored personnel carriers and 20 Bushmaster vehicles to Ukraine.
