Bollywood actor tests positive for COVID-19 days after receiving vaccine

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday 10 days after receiving his first shot of the vaccine.

The 47-year-old actor, who showed his altruistic side by helping the country’s migrants reach their home states during the nationwide lockdown last year, is currently under quarantine.

Sood, who had received the first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine on April 7, was recently made the brand ambassador for Punjab’s coronavirus vaccination program.

The ‘Dabangg’ star had also met Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, on April 10.

Sood assured his 6 million followers on Twitter that he will continue to help people and solve their problems virtually. “Remember, I’m always there for you all,” he wrote.

The actor isn’t the only one to get infected after receiving his first jab of vaccine. Actor Paresh Rawal was one of the first celebrities to contract the coronavirus after his first shot.

Earlier, Alia Bhatt, Akshay Kumar, Sachin Tendulkar, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Kartik Aryan, Bappi Lahiri, Sanjay Leela Bansali and among others, had also contracted the infection.
