During a visit to Moscow, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro stated that his country is interested in tiny nuclear reactors produced by Russia’s state nuclear energy business Rosatom.

Bolsonaro did not mention Ukraine by name in a joint statement with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but did say, “We hope for peace and respect all who act in that way.”

“Our company (Rosatom) is prepared to engage in the development of new power units in Brazil, including low-capacity nuclear power plants, both on land and on the water,” Putin stated.
