Kremlin says Finland joining NATO is definite threat to Russia

The Kremlin warned on Thursday that Finland’s decision to join NATO posed a “clear” danger to Russia and that NATO expansion would neither make Europe or the globe more stable.

On a conference call with reporters, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Finland’s decision to join NATO was regrettable and justified a comparable response.

Finland’s president and prime minister stated earlier Thursday that the country must seek to join NATO’s military alliance “as soon as possible.”
