Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki wrote to fellow European Union leaders on Monday, warning that the EU risked becoming a “centrally managed organism run by institutions deprived of democratic control”.

Morawiecki said this was “a dangerous phenomenon that threatens the future of our union” but added that Poland would remain a “loyal member” and appealed to EU leaders to be “open to dialogue” on reforming the EU.
