On Friday, German Economy Minister Robert Habeck called for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s power to be reduced and, eventually, destroyed.

“We should do everything in our power to reduce Putin’s power and, ultimately, to destroy it,” Habeck, who is also Germany’s vice chancellor, told ARD television.

Habeck resisted calls to halt Russian energy imports immediately, saying, “When we can say with oil and gas… that we have secured supply chains, then we can take the next step.”
