Invading or attempting to invade Taiwan would cost a high price, and the world community will condemn it, President Tsai Ing-wen stated on Tuesday.

“What we have to do is make the adversary understand that Taiwan has the determination and readiness to protect the country, as well as the ability to defend itself,” Tsai said in remarks posted by her office.

“A high price will be paid for invading or trying to invade Taiwan, and the world community will firmly condemn it.”
