Two agreements to be signed on Wednesday with Jordan and Syria to supply Lebanon with electricity

The Syrian Minister of Energy Ghassan Al-Zamil and the Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Ali Hamid Al-Kharabsheh, accompanied by a delegation including managers of electricity transmission institutions, arrived on Tuesday evening at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport.

Tomorrow, two agreements will be signed in the Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water with Jordan to supply the country with electricity from Jordan, and another with Jordan and Syria to import energy through Syria to Lebanon. This agreement will supply Lebanon with about 150 megawatts of electricity from midnight until 6 am, and 250 megawatts at the rest of the times.

On the eve of the sit-in scheduled by the Federation and Unions of the Land Transport Sector in locations surrounding the Grand Serail, a change has been witnessed in fuel prices as well a discrepancy between the low price of gasoline and the increase in the prices of diesel and gas, which raises several questions.

This coincides with a shortage of diesel fuel, knowing that there is huge demand for it due to the cold weather. To shed light on this issue, the Head of the Syndicate of Gas Station Owners Fadi Abou Shakra joined us.
