Mhammad Fakih, a Canadian businessman of Lebanese origin, has been granted the Canadian Order of Merit, Queen Elizabeth II’s highest civilian honor, in recognition of his various triumphs and achievements, as well as his distinction in commercial and charity endeavors.

Fakih is the first Lebanese to be granted such a medal, as he was the only Arab to be awarded the key to Mississauga and the status of “legendary man” in the city.
