World’s largest light art festival Noor Riyadh returns to Saudi Arabia’s capital

The capital of Saudi Arabia is once again host to the third iteration of Noor Riyadh, the largest light art event in the world.

The festival, which takes place from November 30 to December 16, explores light as a force that unites people by showcasing the talents of over 100 internationally renowned artists.

For guests of various backgrounds, the festival offers an interesting range of discussions, guided tours, family activities, artistic experiences, and workshops. Families and kids can make music and generative art under the guidance of elite artists, while up-and-coming artists can take part in talks on several creative mediums.

Noor Riyadh combines the highest quality light artworks from leading international and Saudi artists, across the largest city footprint of any light art festival worldwide.

Staged under Riyadh Art, the festival aims to nurture local talent and inspire youth to drive Saudi Arabia’s creative economy.

Riyadh is on a 10-year mission to become one of the world’s most liveable and competitive cities, a global center that is open for business, and one that welcomes everyone from around the world.

With a young and rapidly growing population of more than 7 million residents, Riyadh is transforming into a vibrant and cosmopolitan metropolis.

The Riyadh Art project was developed to turn the whole capital into a creative canvas – a gallery without walls – to enrich lives, ignite creative expression and kindle the creative economy.

Riyadh Art is a demonstration of the open, accessible, and creative transformation of the capital, where the exchange of ideas through creative expression develops a deeper sense of mutual understanding and respect.
