The National Administration of Medicinal Products in China said today, Thursday, that it has approved the general use of other vaccines to prevent Corona virus, bringing the number of locally produced vaccines approved in the country to 4.

The two new vaccines are produced by “Cansino Biology” and the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products of the China National Pharmaceutical Industry Group (Sinopharma), and will join the vaccine produced by “Sinovac Biotech”, which was approved this month, and another vaccine produced by the Beijing unit of “Sinopharma” Which got approval last year.

China has not yet approved any vaccines for the Corona virus produced by Western pharmaceutical companies.

The four Chinese vaccines can be stored in normal freezing degrees, which may make them a suitable option for developing countries that may find it difficult to distribute the “Pfizer” and “Moderna” vaccines, which require more coldness for long-term storage
