On Saturday, a fire broke out at a fuel depot in Voronezh, a city in southern Russia, while the region is experiencing a rebellion by Wagner mercenaries. The governor of the region, Alexander Gusev, announced the incident on Telegram and confirmed that firefighting operations were in progress. He mentioned the deployment of around 100 firefighters and over 30 vehicles to tackle the blaze. Initial reports indicate that there have been no casualties reported so far.
The cause of the fire has not been specified by Gusev. However, some media outlets have shared a video showing a military helicopter in the vicinity just before an explosion occurred.
