Jumblatt: “We no longer know where diesel, gasoline and oil convoys come from”

The Head of the Progressive Socialist Party Walid Jumblatt wrote on his Twitter account: “We no longer know where the diesel, gasoline and oil convoys come from.”

He added, “We have many lovers, to an extent that we may become an oil-exporting country without having to  demarcate our borders or even opt for oil exploration, neither north nor south, nor by sea nor by land.”

It is noteworthy that dozens of tankers loaded with Iranian diesel, which Hezbollah imported from its supporter, Tehran, on Thursday morning, entered Lebanon, coming from neighboring Syria.

The first shipment of Iraqi fuel also arrived in Lebanon on Thursday, with the second shipment to arrive next week, as was previously scheduled.

A tender will be held every month to replace the fuel designated for EDL’s plants with Iraqi fuel, with the second tender to be held in the first week of next October.
