Lebanon facing delicate health phase.. Get vaccinated!

Head of the National Committee for the Administration of the Corona Vaccine, Abdel Rahman Al-Bizri, stressed that Lebanon is facing a delicate stage that requires the concerted efforts of all, pointing out that there is a problem in the hospital health sector as a result of the collapse of other sectors.

Via a radio interview, Bizri expected an increase in “COVID-19” cases due to the holidays, the presence of “Omicron” and the inability to implement the measures issued by the Ministerial Committee.
He pointed out that the danger is not only from the virus, but also from the lack of sufficient beds and the inability of patients to pay the costs of treatment.

Bizri indicated that “there are many missing procedures, including those related to patients who need intensive care,” noting that “there is a possibility to import medicines that save the state and citizens the cost of treatments and reduce the severity of the disease, and emergency approval was given a few days ago,” wondering: “Will Lebanon take actio by importing these drugs, or will it be unable to do so?”

He stressed that “the reliance is on the citizen and his receiving the vaccine, as well as on the state’s securing vaccinations for citizens equally, and its ability to implement its recommendations.”

Bizri announced that there is a good demand for the vaccine, but work must be done to increase this percentage after the holidays.
