A number of artists in Gaza City painted a mural in honor of the journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh, who was killed last week in Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

The event “Painting the mural” was supervised by the General Union of Youth Organizations in the Gaza Strip. Union members also uploaded pictures of the late journalist, and demanded that those responsible for her murder be held accountable.

The artists stressed that their work is an expression of condemnation of the heinous crime committed by the Israeli occupation, against the strong-worded journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.
