Advanced missiles from Washington to Kyiv

The Russian nuclear forces are conducting exercises in the northeast of Moscow, with the participation of about 1,000 soldiers and more than 100 vehicles, including intercontinental missile launchers.

This came as Russia intensified its military operations against Ukraine, and coincided with the approval of US President Joe Biden to provide Kyiv with mobile missile launcher systems that would enable it to strike Russian targets at a distance of 80 kilometers with high accuracy.

The $700 million US arms package, which also includes ammunition, radars, anti-tank missiles, and anti-armor weapons, was approved by Biden after Ukraine pledged not to use them to strike targets inside Russia.
