Aoun paves the Presidential way for Bassil, awaiting a response from Hezbollah

A series of questions summed up the President’s speech, all seemingly directed at his allies before his enemies, especially Hezbollah.

The President shake his stick towards Hezbollah’s weapon, directed his arrows towards its system, and accused it of obstructing and straining relations with the outside. So the president crystallized the foundational ground for escalation, in response to the fall of his electoral appeal during his upcoming appearance on January 2nd?

This was what was apparent, but in reality, Aoun’s words came to pave the way for a settlement aimed at reviving the relationship between the party and the Free Patriotic Movement, especially after the tension it witnessed recently.

The president have belatedly removed the dust off the defense strategy and pulled it from the drawers of the Baabda Palace, and reinstated it on the “urgent national dialogue” table, paving the way for his son-in-law, Gebran Bassil, to lead a barter between the two parties aimed at perpetuating the “tripartite” in the new Lebanese regime in exchange for Hezbollah’s return to extend the effects of the presidential “Mar Mikhael understanding” with him after Aoun.

What the president aims for will be shown in the speech of his son-in-law Bassil early in the new year, and its effect will echo after 24 hours during the speech of his ally Hassan Nasrallah on the anniversary of the assassination of Qassem Soleimani.
