Does Hezbollah continue to smuggle drugs?

The Jordanian Armed Forces announced the killing of four smugglers and the wounding of others during a specific operation at the Jordanian-Syrian border, while a number of members of the group fled into the Syrian depth, and quantities of Captagon pills, Tramadol, hashish and Kalashnikov were seized.

A military source confirmed to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the army will strike with an iron hand and will deal with all force and firmness with any infiltration or smuggling attempt.

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed that groups linked to the Lebanese “Hezbollah” and the “Fourth Division” headed by Maher al-Assad continued to transport drugs from Lebanon to areas in Daraa and As-Suwayda governorates, with the aim of bringing them into the Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab Gulf states.

The observatory spoke of confirmed information showing the intention of the militias linked to “Hezbollah” to start establishing new factories for the manufacture of Captagon pills in As-Suwayda and Daraa, in coordination with officers in the “Military Intelligence Division” of the regime.
