Germany has decided to increase its defense spending to a record level this year due to the war in Ukraine.

It also plans to allocate more than 50 billion euros for military spending, and to replace its old Tornado planes, with 35 American F-35 fighters, the only ones capable of carrying nuclear warheads, and 15 Eurofighters.

Germany also plans to establish a special fund of 100 billion euros to modernize its armed forces.
