Hezbollah resorts to judiciary to dumb the mouths

On December 13, 2021, former MP Fares Souaid came to the Baabda’s Palace of Justice to appear before the judiciary after the lawsuit filed against him by MP Ibrahim Al-Moussawi on charges of inciting sectarian strife.

A group of opposition politicians, revolutionaries, and change forces accompanied him to the Palace of Justice. After the session was canceled and Souaid left, Hezbollah lawyer Hassan Mortada came out to file accusations of treason against a group of revolutionaries, so there was an argument that ended with the lawyer promising to file a lawsuit against an unknown person, and that’s how it happened.

Elise Moukarzel is one of the women fighters in the October 17 revolution and a fierce defender of the freedoms in Lebanon guaranteed by the constitution.

Lawyer Hassan Mortada told the media that the revolution rejects justice and judiciary when the matter is against its interests, forgetting perhaps the party’s threats to Judge Bitar and its interventions in his work because justice is not in the party’s favour.

The policy of dumbing mouths in Lebanon reached its peak during Aoun’s era, and Hezbollah’s domination. The Lebanese really fear changing the image of a free and civilized Lebanon.
