The International Support Group for Lebanon renewed its call for free, fair, transparent and inclusive elections on their scheduled date on May 15, 2022.

In a statement issued at the conclusion of its meeting today, the group urged the authorities to provide all the necessary resources for this entitlement, intensify technical and administrative preparations, and allocate the financial resources necessary for holding the elections inside and outside Lebanon.
The International Support Group also appealed to all political parties to engage responsibly and constructively in the electoral process, maintain a calm atmosphere, and commit to holding peaceful elections, with an emphasis on including female candidates in their electoral lists and enhancing women’s political representation and participation in various fields.
