Following the raids carried out by the State Security Agency, after a judicial decision of the Public Prosecutor in Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, to the headquarters of the Governor of the Banque du Liban Riad Salameh, in implementation of the summons and arrest warrant ordered by the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Imad Othman, and despite the denial of the two security agencies that there was any disagreement between them and the assertion of the Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi that there is no truth to what is rumored about a dispute or even a confrontation between the security services on the issue of the governor of the Banque du Liban, the matter is still controversial on social media, so what is the truth about what happened?

However, Judge Ghada Aoun announced on Tuesday that she was in the process of prosecuting Major General Imad Othman, accusing him of giving orders to a security force to prevent a State Security force from executing the subpoena issued against Salameh.

So, the conflict of prosecution against the governor of the Banque du Liban has begun to expand, judicially and politically, and it seems that the story of the central bank governor will not pass “safely”.
