The Sixth Brussels Conference on “Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region,” hosted by the European Union, was begun in the Belgian capital with the involvement of the United Nations. It will continue two days.
Farhan Haq, the Deputy United Nations on behalf of the United Nations, stated during the daily press conference that the conference is being held in the midst of the continuing deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Syria, where approximately 26.5 million people require humanitarian assistance.
Therese Al-Kassis Saab, a journalist specialized in diplomatic issues, will examine the conference’s key topics and Lebanon’s involvement in the presence of Syrian refugees.
