Lebanon’s officials graduated from nursing homes

When you’re in your early sixties, the semi-state that dominates us says, “Go to retirement, and God will be with you.” It even revokes your warranty when you need it the most. The rulers of this exalted realm are ancient, over seventy and eighty years old, clinging to life with their upright teeth, believing they are immortal.

Lebanon’s rulers are a retirement home club ruling over a nation dominated by young people. Are they psychologically and physically fit to defend us?! And when should they retire?

We held this conversation with Charlie Azar after he tweeted that politicians should submit to a health exam like the rest of the Lebanese who renew their driver’s licenses after the age of eighty.
