With the government entering the caretaker stage, the electricity file ignited a sharp debate between President Najib Mikati and Energy Minister Walid Fayyad, after Mikati announced that Fayyad had withdrawn from circulation two offers made by General Electric and Siemens providing for the supply of 1,000 dollars to the Deir Ammar and Al-Zahrani factories, with a thousand megawatts of gas energy, at a very acceptable price.
