Ministry of Social Affairs threatens its employees

According to Sawt Beirut International (SBI) sources, the Ministry of Social Affairs has started a training workshop for the ministry’s employees to implement a food aid program in cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP), which requires collecting information about needy families.

The Director General of the Ministry of Social Affairs issued a circular asking employees to join a training program dedicated to implementing the project, according to SBI. But the surprising thing is that 450 social inspectors did not receive their wages from last May, which is equal to 900,000 LBP per month, and they are required to drive around in their cars at their expense. Employees will be paid after completing the project, and whoever refuses will be responsible of his decision, according to audio recordings obtained by SBI.

Your Excellency, Minister Hector Hajjar, this is not the time to threaten employees, because you and your political team are blamed for this collapse that occurred not the employees.
