A spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry indicated that Russia is looking for weaknesses in the Ukrainian defenses near the Sefereski River in the east of the country.
He told state television that the Russian forces had not abandoned attempts to carry out incursions into the area.

Russia has taken control of two cities on the river and is expanding towards one of the two breakaway regions in the Donbass region.
The spokesman pointed out that the situation is calmer in southern Ukraine, where Russia is trying to extend its rule over the area it occupies.
