For the second time following the legislative elections, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah reiterated one fundamental idea: separate the living, economic, and financial problems from the issue of weapons.

Nasrallah stated that Hezbollah’s presence in the government is to protect the resistance’s back, which means preventing any negotiation about its weapons in the next government, and thus returning to the trilogy of people, army, and resistance in the ministerial statement with the phrase disassociation, which remained fictitious without any commitment to it.

Nasrallah said that the disagreement and debate over the resistance is old, and each party has used the arguments it has, which means that there is no need for any new discussion on this issue.

The most dangerous thing in his words is his declaration that the state is going to collapse, calling for solving its economic problems so that it remains, before the demand is made to hand it over arms.

“Solve the country’s crises so that an army will remain and a state will remain, and then come to discuss the defense strategy,” Nasrallah warned.

This indicates that Nasrallah, who accepted the country’s downfall, stated the causes of corruption and mismanagement, with the new government’s policies providing a response. Weapons are not a priority, owing to developments in the region, which explains the two-year delay in the hunt for them.
